About EMBA Tech
The rapid growth of the Internet, the emergence of new forms of connectivity, and the appearance of new media have changed both the way business is conducted and the way professional education is shaped. The EMBA Technology Conference provides an opportunity for leaders in EMBA education to discuss this change and plan for the future during a two-day meeting in San Francisco, California.
The EMBA Technology Conference is the result of conversations at professional meetings during 2008 and 2009. Those conversations revealed a strong need for a focused and sustained discussion of technology among those who direct or shape the educational mission of their professional business programs.
Sponsored by Graduate Business Programs at Saint Mary's College of California, the first EMBA Tech conference was held on April 5 and 6, 2010 at the historic Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California. Discussion included contributions from leaders in both academic and business communities, and from CEOs, CTOs, deans, directors, publishers, and instructional technologists.
The second conference was held in 2012, and all materials, including full conference programs for both conferences, are available from the home page of this web site. Video clips of selected presentations and conference photos are available from the menu bar at the top of this page.
The third EMBA Tech conference was held in 2014, once again in San Francisco, and the entire conference is documented through hardcopy material and digital video on this website. For further information about this conference, please contact Professor Barry Eckhouse, conference chair, or any of the EMBA Tech planning team listed on our contact page.
